This site is about Adam Galvez the Marine and Adam Galvez the person, - his life and his death.  Adam was not only a Marine, but a son, a brother, and the kind of friend that doesn’t come along too often.  He deeply touched the lives of those who knew him.

Adam Galvez was from Salt Lake City, Utah where he joined the Marine Corps on the buddy program with best friend Robert Clark in 2004.  Clark and Galvez went to Boot Camp and Marine Combat Training at Camp Pendleton together, then parted ways when they went to their respective MOS schools.  Galvez became a Light Armored Vehicle mechanic and joined 3rd LAR in Twenty-Nine Palms, California.  They deployed to Iraq on March 4, 2006.  Nearing the end of their deployment, on August 20, 2006, Galvez along with LCpl. Randy Newman and HN Chadwick Kenyon were killed when their LAV hit an IED. LCpl. Robert Clark escorted his best friend, on his final journey home.   Read Adam's story.
